SHOULD I RELOCATE?

To Relocate or not?

When you start feeling like you are wanting to expand your entertainment vocabulary and performance knowledge, do something that is completely out of your comfort zone and RELOCATE.

Relocating is brave, it’s bold and beneficial. Travel within itself is educational and then adding your dreams into the mix, well I guess you can say it can be highly rewarding. However you choose to do this is up to you because as we all know, trusting ourselves enough to take that step above and beyond, will always guide you to the how and when you need to do this.

Most of my performing contracts have been overseas, and this taught me to adapt to the ever changing environments so quickly and to appreciate the world on a different level. It opens up your eyes to a world that is much bigger than what you could ever expect and the possibilities are endless.

When you make that decision to relocate, work hard and stay humble. Learn from your surroundings and be brave to be you exactly as you are and you will soar through life and attract many opportunities.

What I love about the entertainment industry is the travel involved and gives you a taste of what it could feel like, and sometimes it just feels right without any explanation needed. Those who understand the feeling will support you every step of the way. Emotional support is the best thing you can surround yourself with and you’ll find how many people are in the same position as you.

Whether you want to remain a performer or learn to be on the creative side of the table, do the work and believe in your own greatness. Comparison is a dead end road and when you believe in yourself, then you are allowing others to believe in you too.

It won’t always be easy and it may not happen overnight, this can sometimes take years to find your feet and feel the rhythm to your new surroundings. Ask yourself, how dedicated are you to your dreams and what sets your soul on fire? How dedicated are you to yourself and how much do you believe in your own greatness?

Feel that and GO FOR IT!

At the end of the day, we never know until we try and even if it doesn’t work out for you, the best part about It is that you were brave enough to do it and believe in

yourself.

Whatever is meant for you will be for you in the end.

Head over to take a look at our conversation on my instagram @uncensoredandreal to see the LIVE interview with my lovely and dear friend Adam Scown. Adam and I did our performing arts training together and has continued performing for many years. Not only did he relocate himself to live in London, he has done it all. Directing, creating, choreographing, performing, touring and even teaching at colleges. He has conquered many things in his life and relocating has kept him working in the arts for over a decade and still counting. If you want to hear all about his journey, head over and check it out.
